Volunteers of America Delaware Valley invests countless hours and resources into both preventing homelessness and ending it for homeless people and their families. When you donate your car, people struggling with homelessness in Metro Philadelphia, New Jersey and Delaware receive vital care. When Volunteers of America Delaware Valley engages the homeless, whether they are veterans, young people or families with children, we provide services for as long as it takes for them to return to self-sufficiency. Emergency Housing:
Partially funded when you donate a junk car or truck, our Emergency Housing is an essential element as Volunteers of America Delaware Valley works to prevent and end homelessness for individuals - and for families with children. In the Delaware Valley, Volunteers of America offers temporary, emergency housing through our Family Shelter and Safe Haven programs and specialized housing in our Transitional Living programs for men, women, and families.

Emergency housing includes:

• Amani House
• Anna Sample Complex
• Eleanor Corbett House

Supportive Services:
Thanks to the generous people like you who donate a junk car or truck, Volunteers of America Delaware Valley can provide a comprehensive selection of social service programs to the homeless at various single-room occupancy (SRO) and affordable housing complexes in our community.

We provide referrals, counseling, employment assistance, crisis intervention, support groups, workshops and community activities including:

• Psychiatric intervention
• Life and social skills
• Vocational training
• Assistance with educational and recreational pursuits
• Supportive housing programs

Affordable Housing:
When you donate a junk car or truck you help Volunteers of America Delaware Valley provide affordable housing complexes throughout the Delaware Valley.

Our housing programs offer a variety of services to that help support homeless people as they move off the streets and into permanent housing. Our assistance ranges from paying a month's rent to offering permanent supportive housing. Our goal is to help people struggling with homelessness become stable and productive.
